Davos
The famous resort of Davos consists of two large villages, Davos Dorf
and Davos Platz which have merged into one, stretching alongside the
Landwasser river. At 1,560m (5,118ft) it is one of the largest towns
in Europe and has grown to become Switzerland's largest ski resort,
attracting visitors from all over the world. For non-skiers faciliies
include a large sports centre with heated indoor swimming pool plus
tennis and squash courts. For those feeling less energetic, there is
no need to play poker games online, as there is a Casino right on the highstreet. Outdoor activities
include sleigh rides, winter walks, paragliding, ice-skating and
hockey matches. There is also the highest beer brewery in Europe.
