Wengen
A car free village that consists mainly of wooden chalets with just a few larger hotels. It is very poular with British visitors, many of whom return year after year. It is a friendly resort with several good restaurants and popular bars providing a simple but varied choice of evening's entertainment. The fantastic surrounding scenery is dominated by the dramatic Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau massif. The larger resort town of Interlaken is just an hour away by train and features shops, restaurants and casinos. Wengen is a perfect base for some of the best skiing in the Alps. For new intermediate and more experienced skiers the gentle blue and red runs are ideal for cruising and building confidence while enjoying the breathtaking views.
